1C Print Forms, Labels and Barcodes
We build 1C print forms in your own design: invoices, waybills, acts, commercial offers, barcode labels and price tags. Connected as an external print form, so the standard configuration does not change and updates normally.
- Invoices, waybills, acts and contracts based on your template
- Barcode labels and price tags for your printer
- Connected through "Additional reports and data processors"
- The form survives configuration updates
A 1C print form starts at 150,000 tenge and takes three to five days. Barcode labels and price tags take from one week.
The 1C print forms we build
Everything that comes out of 1C on paper or as a PDF.
Standard 1C print forms cover the mandatory documents, but they rarely look the way a company wants. The logo and details are missing or in the wrong place, there is no column for the SKU or product photo, the contract does not follow the lawyer's template, and the commercial offer has to be assembled by hand in Word. Each of these is solved with its own print form.
The most common requests:
- an invoice and a commercial offer with a logo, product photos and terms;
- a waybill, an act of completed work and an invoice with additional columns;
- a customer contract filled in from the counterparty card;
- warehouse documents: picking list, route sheet, packing list;
- product labels, price tags and box stickers with barcodes.
A separate class of tasks is bilingual printing. Many companies in Kazakhstan print contracts and waybills in Russian and Kazakh. We build bilingual forms or language switching at print time, with product names taken from the product card in the right language.
We do not change the content of statutory forms regulated by Kazakhstan law: we add what is allowed, such as a logo or an extra page, and leave the mandatory details untouched.
External print forms: why this is safer
A form as a separate file, not an edit to the configuration.
A print form can be built into the configuration or made external. A built-in form requires editing the standard configuration, which means losing vendor support and manual merging at every update. An external 1C print form lives as a separate file and is connected through the "Additional reports and data processors" catalog. It appears in the document's "Print" menu as if it had always been there.
The benefits for you are simple. The standard configuration updates without a developer. The form can be switched off with one checkbox if something is wrong. A new version is loaded without stopping users. Access to the form is configured separately: for example, only managers see the commercial offer.
One external form can serve several documents at once: the same waybill can be printed from a sale and from a transfer. That reduces the number of files to maintain and keeps the design consistent across the whole database.
When an external form is not enough, for example when a new field has to be stored in the document for printing, we use a configuration extension. The difference between the approaches is covered in external data processor or 1C extension (in Russian).
Labels and barcode printing in 1C
For the warehouse, retail and marketplaces.
Almost everyone who works with goods needs label printing in 1C: product labels at receiving, price tags on the sales floor, box stickers at shipment, marketplace labels with the marketplace barcode. Standard configurations include a label and price tag mechanism, but the templates are basic and setting them up for a specific printer often becomes a headache of its own.
We build templates for your label size and printer: thermal label printers or ordinary laser printers with sticker sheets. A label can show the name, SKU, price, date, composition, country, barcode, QR code and logo. For barcodes we support EAN-13, Code 128, QR and DataMatrix.
A separate scenario is bulk printing. A delivery of 400 items arrives and every unit needs a label. We print straight from the receiving document with quantities taken from the document, no manual entry.
Printer and template setup is explained step by step in printing barcode labels from 1C (in Russian).
Barcodes in 1C: from generation to the scanner
A print form is part of a bigger task.
Barcodes in 1C are not only about printing. First they have to be set up: some products have a manufacturer's EAN-13, some do not, and internal codes are generated for those. One barcode must never sit on two products, or the till and the warehouse scanner will ring up the wrong item. This is a common problem when migrating data from an old database, as we describe on the 1C data migration page.
Then barcodes are used in daily work: scanning at receiving, at order picking, at stocktaking. If the warehouse uses data collection terminals, that is 1C warehouse automation (in Russian), and the warehouse worker's mobile app is built at applications.kz.
For weighed goods, for example in grocery retail, the barcode contains the weight or price. Such codes are printed by label scales or from 1C using a special template, and the till must be able to parse them. We set this up too, starting with the prefix format.
We check the whole chain: generation, uniqueness, printing, scanner reading. A label that prints beautifully but scans badly because of size or contrast is useless.
How a print form is developed
Five steps from a sample to a form in the "Print" menu.
- Sample. You send an example of the document or label: a Word file, PDF, a photo of a paper form or a hand sketch.
- Data source. We determine where each field comes from in 1C. If some data is not in the database, we suggest where to store it.
- Layout. We draw the layout in a 1C spreadsheet document and write the fill code.
- Testing on your documents. We print on real documents: long names, many lines, empty fields. This is where wrapping and cut-off text show up.
- Connection. We load the form into "Additional reports and data processors", set permissions and show it to users.
For labels there is an extra step: a test print on your printer and a scanner reading check.
After delivery we collect user feedback for two weeks: what is inconvenient, what else to show, which field is unnecessary. Fixes based on those two weeks are included in the price of the form.
Timelines and cost
The price depends on the complexity of the layout and fill logic.
| Task | Timeline | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Simple print form from a sample | 3-5 days | from 150,000 ₸ |
| Contract or commercial offer with terms and product photos | from 1 week | from 150,000 ₸ |
| Label and price tag templates for your printer | from 1 week | from 150,000 ₸ |
| A set of forms with new fields (extension) | from 2 weeks | from 350,000 ₸ |
The price is fixed from the sample before work starts. If you want to add something new to the form along the way, we estimate it separately and never quietly exceed the agreed amount.
Ordering several forms as a package is cheaper: data sources and styling are shared, so each additional form costs less than the first. If you have many print forms and other customizations, it is more convenient to run them as a task queue with a 1C developer.
Common mistakes with print forms
What we see when we come in after others.
- The form is built into the standard configuration. It works, but every update breaks or overwrites it. We rebuild it as an external form.
- Data typed into the layout by hand. Company details or the bank account are hard-coded in the layout. The account changed and wrong details were printed for six months.
- No testing on long data. Everything looks fine on a test document, but on a real one with a long name the text is cut off or spills onto a second page.
- The label does not scan. The barcode was shrunk to fit more text and the scanner stopped reading it.
- No source files. The form exists, but the file and its author do not. Every change starts with reconstruction.
Another common mistake: a dozen nearly identical forms made by different people at different times. Users do not know which one to print and pick at random. During an audit we suggest merging them into one form with variants and disabling the rest.
All these mistakes are cheaper to prevent than to fix. That is why our forms take details from the database, are tested on real documents, and the source stays with you.
PDF output and sending to the client
The document goes straight to the buyer.
Often a print form is needed not on paper but in the client's inbox or messenger. Standard configurations can email a document from the print form. We extend the scenario: the invoice is generated as a PDF with signature and stamp, the file name is clear, and an email with template text goes to the address from the counterparty card.
The next step is sending an invoice to WhatsApp or Telegram right from 1C, and sending documents automatically on an event, such as an act after an order is closed. These scenarios are described on the AI and automation for 1C page.
If documents must be signed electronically and sent through EDI or the ESF information system, that is a separate setup; see ESF, SNT and EDI in 1C (in Russian).
A commercial offer and invoice that sell
A print form as a sales tool.
For a sales team a print form is not a formality. A commercial offer generated from 1C in a minute, with product photos, stock, delivery time and payment terms, beats an offer the manager spent half an hour laying out in Word. Most importantly, it has no pricing errors: the data comes from the same price type that will later be used for the invoice.
We build offers with switchable blocks: with or without photos, with or without stock, with or without VAT, in Russian or Kazakh. The manager picks a variant when printing instead of keeping five different templates. Signature and stamp are inserted from the database when the document is saved as PDF.
For invoices we add a payment QR code if the bank supports it, and the details of several company accounts if buyers pay to different banks. Such details cut down on "where do we pay" calls and speed up incoming payments. For regular clients the invoice can show their personal terms and current balance owed.
If offers and invoices need to be sent from a CRM rather than from 1C, that is an exchange task: see 1C and Bitrix24 exchange (in Russian).
How we differ, and who this is for
A form that still works a year later.
Anyone who knows the layout designer can draw a print form. The difference shows a year later: will the form survive an update, are the source files still there, are details hard-coded in the layout. We build forms as external ones, take data from the database and hand over the source.
Another difference: we build websites, apps and integrations ourselves, so a print form can take data from more than just 1C. For example, the product photo can come from the website catalog, and a QR code can lead to the product page in the online store.
Print forms and labels are ordered by trading companies that need good-looking offers and invoices, warehouses and retail with labels and price tags, manufacturers with product passports and packaging stickers, and marketplace suppliers with labels to the marketplace's requirements. If the form is part of a bigger task, such as a new document, see 1C customization.
FAQ about 1C print forms
Timelines, connection and labels.
How much does a 1C print form cost?
From 150,000 ₸ for a form based on a sample, 3-5 days. Complex forms with terms, photos and new fields are estimated from the sample. A package of forms costs less per form, because data sources and styling are shared.
What is an external print form?
A separate file connected through "Additional reports and data processors" that appears in the document's "Print" menu. The standard configuration does not change and updates normally.
Will the form break after a 1C update?
An external form usually survives updates. If the new release changed objects the form uses, the fix takes little time. Under a support plan we check forms before the live database is updated.
Do you make labels for thermal printers?
Yes. We build a template for your label size and printer model and check printing and barcode scanning. We support EAN-13, Code 128, QR and DataMatrix. If the printer prints crooked, we help adjust the driver and label margins.
Can labels be printed from a receiving document?
Yes, that is a standard scenario: labels for the whole delivery with quantities from the document, no manual entry of items or quantities.
What do you need from us to start?
A sample of the document or label in any form, the configuration name and access to a copy of the database. For labels, also the printer model and label size. Access to the live database is not needed: development happens on a copy.
Can statutory Kazakhstan forms be changed?
We do not change mandatory details. A logo can be added, extra columns where allowed, or a separate form for internal use. That way the document stays correct for audits while being convenient for the company.
Do you work with industry configurations?
Yes. External print forms connect in configurations built on the Standard Subsystems Library (BSP), which covers most current standard and industry solutions. For others we choose an approach after a review.
