1C Developer in Kazakhstan

Prices and terms valid as of October 2026

We take on 1C tasks that settings alone cannot solve: custom document logic, automating manual work, exchange with your website and marketplaces, and fixing code left by previous contractors. Based in Almaty, working with companies across Kazakhstan.

WhatsApp
  • Price and timeline for every task before work starts, no "hours per month"
  • Extensions instead of editing the standard configuration: vendor updates keep working
  • Development on a copy of your database, the live one is never touched
  • Source code and documentation stay with you

1C developer services in Kazakhstan start at 350,000 tenge per task, with a timeline from one week. We quote the price and timeline before any work begins, after a short review of your database.

What a 1C developer can do for you

Not everything in 1C needs code. We start by checking whether settings are enough.

The first thing our 1C developer does with a new task is check whether it can be solved with standard tools. Additional attributes, exchange rules, access rights and form settings solve more than most people expect. That is cheaper and more reliable than any development, and we say so openly, even when it shrinks the scope of work.

When settings are not enough, 1C programming begins. Typical requests we get from companies in Kazakhstan:

  • Document logic. Custom checks before posting, automatic creation of related documents, non-standard calculation of prices, discounts or cost of goods.
  • Automating routine work. Data processors instead of daily manual work: bulk price list import, price recalculation, closing orders, cleaning up catalogs.
  • Data exchange. Sending products, stock, orders and customers to your website, mobile app, Kaspi, CRM or bank. Details on the 1C integration page.
  • Reports and print forms. Breakdowns the standard configuration lacks, and documents in your own layout: invoices, waybills, barcode labels.
  • Fixing third-party code. Reviewing what a previous contractor wrote and bringing it into a maintainable state.

We also handle scheduled jobs: exports, checks and notifications that 1C runs on a schedule with no staff involvement.

Custom 1C development: how we work

Every task goes through the same steps, so timelines are predictable.

  1. Understanding the task. A short call or chat: what is done by hand today, where time is lost, and what result counts as done.
  2. Database review. Configuration, release, whether it is still on vendor support, what customizations already exist. An hour is enough for a small task; for a neglected database we run a 3-5 day audit.
  3. Estimate. In writing: what we do, the cost, the timeline and what we need from you. We do not start without it.
  4. Development on a copy. We write code on a copy of your database. Your live 1C keeps running as usual.
  5. Testing on your data. We show the result on real documents and catalogs. This is where awkward spots surface that no written description reveals.
  6. Go-live and training. We move the change to the live database at an agreed time, show it to your staff and answer questions in the first days.
  7. Handover. Source code of the extension or data processor plus a description: which objects are affected, how to disable it, what to check after an update.

Fixes based on the first two weeks of use are included in the price. If something new comes up, we estimate it as a separate task rather than stretching the old one.

1C developer rates

We work by task. Each task has its own price and timeline.

TaskTimelinePrice
Print form in your own layout3-5 daysfrom 150,000 ₸
Data processor for a bulk operationfrom 1 weekfrom 150,000 ₸
Data composition (SKD) report with the breakdowns you needfrom 1 weekfrom 350,000 ₸
Single logic customizationfrom 1 weekfrom 350,000 ₸

Audit of third-party customizations3-5 dayscredited toward the work
Support after deliverymonthly80,000-250,000 ₸/month

The range depends not on the number of users but on the state of the database. A standard configuration on vendor support and a database edited by three contractors over eight years need very different amounts of time for the same task. What goes into an estimate is covered in our article how much 1C customization costs (in Russian).

Why we work by task, not by the hour

Hourly billing suits the contractor. Task-based work suits the client.

With a block of hours, you learn the cost only after the work is done and have nothing to compare it with. Task-based work is the opposite: there is a list, every line has a price and a timeline, and you can see what to do now and what can wait until next quarter.

If a task turns out harder than it looked at the start, we tell you before going over the estimate. Together we decide: continue, simplify or postpone. Quietly exceeding the budget and presenting you with the bill is not allowed. That is a working rule, not a marketing promise.

Estimates do not come out of thin air. Before giving one, the developer looks at the code that has to change and works out what the customization will touch. That is why a simple task gets an estimate the same day and a complex one within 1-2 days after the review.

For companies that need a 1C developer on an ongoing basis, we run a task queue with an estimate for each item. It is more transparent than hourly retainers: you see exactly what you pay for this month. Small fixes and monitoring are easiest to cover with 1C support.

Extensions instead of editing the standard configuration

The main thing that protects your database from trouble during updates.

The 1C:Enterprise 8.3 platform lets you add functionality as a separate layer: a configuration extension (.cfe). The standard configuration stays on vendor support and updates normally, while the customization keeps working on top of it. If a new release conflicts with something, the extension is disabled, not the whole system.

The second safe route is external data processors and reports connected through "Additional reports and data processors". They do not change the configuration at all. We choose this route for imports, print forms and reports. More on the 1C:Enterprise customization and external 1C data processors pages.

Some tasks cannot be solved with an extension. In that case we say so before work starts and explain the consequences: the database leaves vendor support and updates become a manual operation. Sometimes that is justified, but the decision should be made consciously.

We can work with a previous contractor's code

A common situation: the freelancer disappeared, the customizations stayed.

Many companies come to us after several people have customized their 1C over the years. There is no documentation, part of the code is commented out, and the last update was installed two years ago because "everything breaks after it". This is a normal situation and we know how to handle it.

We start with an audit: compare the configuration with the standard one, find all changes and check which of them are actually used. The result is a list: what to move into extensions, what to keep, what to delete as dead code and what to rewrite.

Typical audit findings: edits made directly in standard modules without comments, duplicate data processors with different versions of the same logic, scheduled jobs that have done nothing for ages but still load the server, and exchanges that fail silently with no alert. We describe every finding in plain language: what it is, what risk it carries and how much it costs to fix.

Sometimes the honest conclusion is unpleasant: the accumulated edits are cheaper to rebuild than to untangle. We say it directly and price both options; the decision is yours. Why updates break customizations is explained in why 1C updates break customizations (in Russian).

Configurations we work with

1C:Enterprise 8.3 platform, standard and industry solutions.

Most of our work is on configurations for Kazakhstan: Trade Management, Small Business Management (UNF), Integrated Automation, Accounting, Retail and ERP. We also work with industry solutions, but after a review: what matters is not the name of the configuration but the state of the code and whether past customizations are documented.

We do not keep books or sell 1C licenses ourselves; that is the job of a 1C franchise partner. Our area is programming, integrations and automation around 1C. So we often work alongside your accountant or franchise partner: they handle the accounting, we handle the code and the exchange.

ConfigurationWhat we customize most often
Trade Managementpricing, exchange with Kaspi and the website, warehouse operations
UNForders, production, exchange with CRM and mobile apps
Integrated Automation, ERPreports, scheduled jobs, integrations
Retaillabels, barcodes, exchange with the central database

In-house 1C developer, freelancer or contractor

Three formats with different risks. An honest comparison.

An in-house 1C developer makes sense when there is enough work for full-time load all year round. Downsides: the salary is paid in quiet months too, and when the employee leaves, knowledge about the customizations often leaves with them.

A freelancer is cheaper at the start, but the risk is continuity. If they disappear mid-project, the next developer starts by untangling undocumented code, and that costs extra.

A contractor team like us is bound by a contract, hands over source code and documentation, and another developer picks up tasks during vacations or sick leave. With part-time load it usually costs less than an in-house employee. A detailed comparison with numbers is in in-house 1C developer or outsourcing (in Russian).

1C developer in Almaty and across Kazakhstan

We work remotely and connect to your database through secure access.

Our team is based in Almaty. Working with your database does not require physical presence: we connect to a copy through remote access that you control and can switch off at any time. This is how we work with companies in Astana, Shymkent, Karaganda, Aktobe, Atyrau and other cities.

Calls, demos and training happen over video. If you need a meeting at the office in Almaty, we arrange it separately. For companies running 1C on their own server, we can help choose and set it up: server for 1C.

Contracts, acts of completed work and invoices follow Kazakhstan law, with payment in tenge by stage. Any prepayment is credited toward the first stage.

Who this is for

Most of our clients are trading, manufacturing and service companies.

Wholesale and retail. Thousands of SKUs, several warehouses, sales through Kaspi and a website. Typical tasks: pricing by your own rules, marketplace exchange, importing supplier price lists, barcode labels.

Manufacturing. Bills of materials, cost calculation, output tracking, reports for the shop floor manager. Precision matters here: an error in posting logic distorts the cost of goods for the whole period.

Service companies and distribution. Orders from sales reps, a mobile workstation, status notifications, CRM exchange. For the mobile part we work together with Applications.kz.

Company size does not matter. We work both with a sole proprietor who has one database and one accountant, and with a group of companies where several databases exchange data. Only the scope of the initial audit differs.

What you get at the end

A working customization and the ability to maintain it without us.

  • A customization tested on your data before it reaches the live database.
  • Source code of extensions and data processors, not just a compiled file.
  • A description: which objects are affected, how to disable it, what to check after an update.
  • A short guide for staff if their work changes.
  • Two weeks of free fixes based on the first days of use.

If you have your own 1C specialist on staff, they can continue the work on their own. We do not lock clients in with closed code; that is a poor basis for a long working relationship.

FAQ about hiring a 1C developer

Price, timelines and how we work.

How much do 1C developer services cost?

From 350,000 ₸ per task; print forms and small data processors from 150,000 ₸. We give the exact amount after reviewing the database: previous contractors' customizations can double the time needed.

How long does custom 1C development take?

A single task from one week, a package of related tasks from three weeks, website exchange from three to six weeks. The timeline is fixed in the estimate before work starts.

Do you work in Almaty or remotely?

The team is in Almaty and we work remotely across Kazakhstan. We connect to the database through access you control. An office meeting is possible by arrangement.

Can we hire a 1C developer for ongoing work?

Yes. We run a task queue with an estimate for each item, or support from 80,000 ₸ per month covering updates, exchange monitoring and an agreed volume of fixes.

Can you work with code another developer wrote?

Yes, we start with a 3-5 day audit. Its cost is credited toward the work if you continue with us. If rewriting is cheaper, we say so right away.

Will 1C break after customization when we update?

We build customizations as extensions and external data processors, so the standard configuration updates normally. Where editing the standard configuration is unavoidable, we warn you in advance.

Do you do bookkeeping or sell 1C licenses?

No. Our area is programming, integrations and automation. Your accountant keeps the books, a franchise partner sells licenses, and we work alongside them.

Who owns the code after delivery?

You do. We hand over source code and documentation, so your own specialist or another contractor will not have to start from scratch.
