Custom 1C Reports and Dashboards
We build reports with breakdowns the standard 1C configuration lacks: margin, receivables, inventory turnover, output. On the standard data composition system (SKD), with delivery to management and dashboards outside 1C.
- An SKD report with settings users change themselves
- An external report: the configuration is not touched
- Summaries delivered by email or Telegram on a schedule
- Dashboards on 1C data in the browser and on the phone
A custom 1C report starts at 350,000 tenge and takes one to two weeks. A summary report across several accounting areas takes two to three weeks.
When standard 1C reports are not enough
The sign is simple: before every meeting someone pulls numbers from five reports into Excel.
Standard 1C has hundreds of reports, yet management often cannot see what matters most. Not because the data is missing, but because it sits in different reports with different breakdowns. Margin by manager including discounts and returns, receivables with overdue amounts by contract, inventory turnover by warehouse: it is all in the database, just not in one place.
Another common situation: the standard report exists but has an awkward layout. You have to pick the right numbers out of a long table and compare with last year separately. A custom report shows the same thing directly in the form you need.
Usually the task falls to an employee with Excel. Once a week they export several reports, combine them with formulas and send them to management. That means hours of work, copy errors and numbers that are already out of date by the time of the meeting.
Manual summaries have a hidden cost too: dependence on one person. When the employee who knows which reports to export and how the formulas work goes on vacation, management is left without numbers. A report in 1C does not depend on that.
The opposite also happens: there are too many reports and nobody remembers which one is correct. Then we start with a review: which reports are actually opened, which duplicate each other, which can be replaced by a single SKD report with variants.
A custom 1C report brings everything into one form, calculates on current data and opens in seconds. The employee is freed up, and management looks at numbers when they need them, not when someone has prepared them.
The 1C reports we build most often
Typical requests from trading, manufacturing and service companies.
| Report | What it shows | For whom |
|---|---|---|
| Margin and gross profit | by product, manager, client and channel, including discounts and marketplace commissions | CEO, commercial director |
| Product report | sales, stock, turnover, dead stock by warehouse | buyer, warehouse |
| Accounts receivable | debt by contract, overdue amounts, payment history | finance, sales managers |
| Sales plan vs actual | plan fulfillment by manager and period | head of sales |
| Output and cost | production by shift, material consumption | production manager |
| Daily totals | revenue, payments, large sales, items running low | owner |
Trading companies especially value the product report: what sells, what sits, what should be discounted and what to reorder. It combines sales, stock and purchases in one table and shows turnover in days. The buyer sees where money is frozen and where a best-seller is about to run out.
The set of metrics and breakdowns is always your own. The table above is a starting point for the conversation, not a fixed list.
SKD reports: why we build them this way
The data composition system gives users flexibility without a developer.
SKD, the data composition system, is the standard reporting mechanism of the 1C:Enterprise 8.3 platform. An SKD report is written once, and after that users change groupings, filters, sorting and formatting in the settings themselves, without asking a developer.
What this gives you in practice:
- one report replaces several similar ones: a manager views it by client, a director by manager;
- setting variants are saved, so everyone opens their own view of the report;
- drill-down: clicking a number opens the documents it is made of;
- export to Excel and PDF with standard tools;
- 1C access rights apply inside the report too: a manager sees only their own clients.
1C SKD can also output charts: sales dynamics by month, revenue structure by channel, manager comparisons. For a meeting this is often clearer than any table, and it comes from the same report with no separate development.
An SKD report is easy to hand over: another 1C developer opens the composition schema and immediately understands where the numbers come from, without digging through hundreds of lines of code.
We build SKD reports by default. We write custom reports without SKD only where non-standard output is required, and we warn you about it in advance.
External report or extension
Neither approach touches the standard configuration.
An external report (.erf) connects through "Additional reports and data processors" and does not change the configuration at all. This is the safest option: the report can be added, updated and removed without a developer and without affecting 1C updates. It suits most analytical reports.
A report in an extension is the choice when the report must be built into the interface, for example appear on a section panel or open from a client card, or when it needs data that has to start being collected first.
An external report can be updated without stopping users: the new version of the file is loaded into the catalog, and everyone sees the changes on the next opening. A report in an extension also updates in minutes but needs exclusive access for a short time.

Analytics and dashboards on 1C data
When a report is needed on a phone, in a browser or together with data from other systems.
Analytics on 1C data is especially useful for companies with several databases or legal entities. A dashboard brings them into one picture, and the owner sees the whole group instead of switching between databases.
Not every executive wants to open 1C to check revenue. For that we build dashboards outside 1C: a page in the browser or on the phone with the key numbers, charts and a comparison with the previous period.
Data leaves 1C on a schedule through the 1C API or the standard OData interface. A dashboard can combine 1C with other sources: ad accounts, CRM, Kaspi. That way you see not only revenue but also what it cost to earn it.
Dashboard access can be role-based: the owner sees everything, a department head only their department, a manager only their own sales. The mobile version is designed so the key numbers read on a phone screen without zooming.
An important rule: we calculate metrics in 1C or from its data, never by copying numbers by hand. Otherwise within a month the dashboard and the accounting report start to diverge, and trust in both disappears. More in dashboards on 1C data (in Russian).
Scheduled report delivery
The report arrives on its own, to the right person at the right time.
A report is useful when it is read. So almost every 1C report we build is set up for delivery: daily totals to the owner at 21:00, receivables to the finance team on Mondays, dead stock to the buyer once a month.
Delivery also solves the access question: the owner does not need a 1C login to see revenue, payments and stock of key products every evening.
Delivery runs through a 1C scheduled job: at the set time the report is generated and emailed as Excel or PDF. Short summaries are more convenient in Telegram: a message with the key numbers and a link to the full report. How this works is covered in notifications from 1C to Telegram (in Russian).
Recipients and delivery times are changed by the 1C administrator, without a developer. A new department head is added to the list in a minute.
We also set up alerts: a message arrives not on a schedule but when something happens. A large sale, an item below minimum stock, a client exceeding their credit limit.
How we build a report
We start with the decision management will make based on the report.
- The question. Which decision will be made from this report. Nobody needs a report "about everything"; a report built for a specific decision gets used every day.
- Mockup. An Excel table with metrics and breakdowns, often based on the file currently assembled by hand. Agreed before development.
- Data check. We check whether the database has everything needed and how carefully it is filled in. If not, we suggest an accounting customization.
- Development on a copy. An SKD report, as an external file or in an extension.
- Number reconciliation. We compare with standard reports and accounting until it matches to the tenge.
- Trial period. For a week the report runs alongside the old summary to confirm the numbers match.
- Go-live and delivery. We install it in the live database and set up variants and the schedule.
1C report pricing
The price depends on the number of sources and the complexity of the calculation.
| Work | Timeline | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Simple SKD report for one area | from 1 week | from 350,000 ₸ |
| Summary report across several areas | 2-3 weeks | by estimate |
| Delivery by email or Telegram | together with the report | included |
| Dashboard on 1C data outside 1C | from 3 weeks | by estimate |
| Extending a report with new breakdowns | from 3 days | from 150,000 ₸ |
If you need several reports, we start with the single most important one. After it, it becomes clear how clean the data in the database is and what else needs work, so the next reports are estimated more precisely and built faster. Any prepayment is credited toward the first stage.
The most common reason for higher cost: the database lacks data or it is filled in inconsistently. For example, the manager is not recorded on orders, yet margin by manager is wanted. Then we first adjust the accounting, a separate small 1C customization.
Why report numbers do not match, and how we fix it
The main risk of any report: people stop trusting it.
- Different definitions. Revenue with or without VAT, by shipment or by payment. We fix the definitions in the report description before development.
- Returns and adjustments. A typical mistake of home-made reports: sales are counted but returns are not. We check against real cases.
- Cost of goods. We use the cost 1C calculates at month-end closing, and flag it if the month is not yet closed.
- Marketplace commissions. For Kaspi sales, margin without commission is overstated. We account for it when sales are recorded through the 1C Kaspi integration.
- Dates. A report by document date and a report by shipment date give different numbers at month boundaries. We pick one rule and write it in the description.
We hand over a report description with metric definitions together with the report, so a year later nobody has to guess what each column means.
If a discrepancy is still found after launch, fixing it is covered by the two weeks of free fixes.
We reconcile every report with standard reports and accounting. A discrepancy we cannot explain is treated as a report error, not a data error.
Report speed on large databases
A report that takes five minutes to build stops being opened.
On databases with several years of history, a careless query easily turns a report into a long wait and slows down other users. We write queries with indexes and data volume in mind and test speed on a copy of your database, not a test one.
A typical finding: a report is slow not because of volume but because of dot notation for attributes in the query, which the platform turns into dozens of table joins. The rewritten query returns the same result several times faster.
For heavy multi-year analytics we precalculate: a scheduled job collects totals at night, and in the morning the report opens instantly. If the server cannot cope at all, we will advise what to change: server for 1C (in Russian).
FAQ about 1C reports
SKD, timelines and dashboards.
How much does a custom 1C report cost?
From 350,000 ₸ for an SKD report on one area, from one week. A summary report across several areas takes 2-3 weeks; we quote after the mockup.
What is an SKD report?
A report on the 1C data composition system. Users change groupings, filters and formatting in the settings themselves, without a developer.
Will the report affect 1C updates?
No, if it is an external report or a report in an extension. The standard configuration stays on vendor support.
Can we receive the report in Telegram?
Yes. Short summaries arrive as a Telegram message, and the full report goes by email as Excel or PDF on a schedule.
Do you build dashboards outside 1C?
Yes. A page in the browser or on the phone with key metrics from 1C data, optionally combined with CRM and advertising data.
Our report is slow to build. Can you help?
Yes. We rewrite the query, add overnight precalculation and, if needed, advise what to change on the server.
Can you make a report like our Excel file?
Yes, that is the best start. We use your file as the mockup, and the 1C report collects the same numbers automatically.
Which configurations do you work with?
Trade Management, UNF, Integrated Automation, ERP, Retail and Accounting for Kazakhstan.
