Telematics for thousands of vehicles?
Coordinate streams are time series: SSDs for hot data, partitioning, and separate history storage. 5,000 vehicles sending data once every 10 seconds equals 500 events/s for write operations.
Routing and optimization?
CPU-intensive algorithms: route solvers favor frequency and memory. Nightly recalculation of thousands of routes requires a dedicated VM with reserved cores.
