WordPress website development
WordPress powers about half the web, which is why there are so many bad builds around it: a marketplace template, twenty plugins and a site that can neither be sped up nor updated. We do it the other way round.
- A theme built for your layout, not a purchased template
- Blocks editable without touching markup
- Few plugins — every extra one is a risk and a delay
- Repository and access handed to the client
A-LUX builds WordPress websites with a custom theme instead of a template: editable blocks, few plugins, sources handed over to the client.
Why a marketplace template costs more in the end
The saving lasts about a month.
A purchased theme drags in a page builder, a dozen «essential» plugins and third-party code nobody maintains. Then the familiar part begins: four-second loads, updates breaking the layout, and every change hitting the limits of the theme.
A custom theme costs more upfront and less to run. It contains exactly the blocks the business needs and nothing else: less code means fewer things to break, and core updates install cleanly because we never override what must not be overridden.
What you will be able to change yourself
Editing without a developer is a requirement, not a bonus.
Text, images, block order, services, prices, news and products are all editable in the admin panel. Pages are assembled from blocks named in plain language rather than «Section 3 / Column B».
After handover we train your editor and leave a short manual. In practice people stop opening it within a week — provided the blocks are named like human beings would name them.
FAQ
Answers to common questions before ordering from A-LUX.
How much does a WordPress site cost?
It depends on the number of pages, layout complexity and integrations. We scope the work and show the breakdown before starting, so you can see what to postpone.
Can you migrate an existing site to WordPress?
Yes, as a separate project preserving URLs and content — see our migration page.
What about an online store?
WooCommerce works for a modest catalogue. For a large assortment other solutions are more honest, and we say so before the work starts.
Who owns the source code?
You do. Hosting, admin and repository are handed over — any developer can continue.
How many plugins will the site have?
Usually five to seven: forms, SEO, cache, backups, security. Anything beyond that is discussed separately because it affects both speed and risk.
